Battery Operated Video Otoscope
MedRx offers a new concept in video otoscope technology with their battery operated LED light source. The LED light source interfaces with the MedRx 3mm probe and miniature video camera which requires no focusing.
The light output of the LED produces virtually no heat or light outside the visible range. The LED light output is in a color range which can be easily white balanced by the MedRx video camera to render true color video otoscopy. The remarkably clear resolution is particularly helpful in contrasting a clean ear canal and normal eardrum with an ear canal and eardrum that has excessive cerumen, foreign bodies, external otitis, PE tube status, cholesteatoma, TM perforations or other abnormalities.
